Ever since I can remember, I have been creating things. My mother encouraged us to be creative. She never minded the mess, as long as we cleaned up. We made puppets, potholders,doll hats, posters, and our own clothes. As a teenager, I lettered all the signs for the bakery where I worked. When I won a college scholarship, I majored in Fine Arts.

EDUCATION:

Since then, I have acquired a Master's and Doctorate (Carnegie-Mellon University) in Fine Arts. I have taught art on a variety of levels from elementary school through college, and in my private art school. After 30 years of experience in design, color theory, composition, calligraphy, drawing and painting, I can now create intuitively with a solid structure of artistic skill and knowledge. I am also self-taught in several software programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Fontographer, Power Point, and Dreamweaver

JACQUELINE ORIGINALS:

I started my business in 1971 with a group of hand lettered quotes for an art show. My inventory now exceeds 1000 hand-painted and digitally colored prints, including many classics and several original writings. I have a line of unique t-shirts, cards & posters. Starting around 6 a.m., I create my own designs, paint, write, and fill requests for custom work on parchment or canvas. I have designed a unique lettering style for my Native American Wisdom line.

My painting repertoire includes both abstracts and  Colorado landscapes. I think (and dream!) and compose in color.  This strong sense of color, along with my calligraphic skills has resulted in some unique wall decor designs. I also execute trompe l'oiel and faux techniques. My latest project is to combine painting, calligraphy and computerized compositions into works of art.
