Sosehawa, a Seneca native from the east coast, created
this work of appreciation to the Great Spirit. The main focus is
gratitude for light, whether it is from the sun, the moon, or the stars.
The Native Americans were very much aware of the sun with its gifts of
heat and light.
The trim show, in order, the morning star, which looks like a cross, the
sun, and then the moon. The teal sections depict the rain, another
bountiful gift of the Great Spirit.
