Treat All Men Alike

#8356 Size 8' x10" Double matted
Although Chief Joseph had not read the Constitution of the United States, he instinctively respected all people as equals.  It is ironic that he and his people were victims of discrimination by the "civilized" invaders of their land.
The interesting bottom border originated from Pueblo ceremonial water vases created by the Sia, who were noted for their realistic motifs and the cross, symbol of the morning star.  Arrows usually symbolize lightning, a source of power.
